- Topic -- ctypes. Chris Church will start with ctypes basics and then get into some examples of the really evil stuff you can do. Chris will also compare some differences between writing a C module by hand vs. swig vs. ctypes. Chris' presentation and sample code are available at http://trizpug.ninemoreminutes.com/. Afterwards we'll head out to a local establishment for more fun and libations.

- Dr. Bruce Sherwood, recently retired Research Professor and Distinguished Educator in Residence in the NCSU Department of Physics, will present the new Version 5 release of VPython. VPython produces navigable real-time 3D animations as a side effect of Python computations (vpython.org). Dr. Sherwood is one of the developers of VPython and the co-author of "Matter and Interactions," a two volume physics textbook published by Wiley (www4.ncsu.edu/~rwchabay/mi).

- Frank Wierzbicki, lead committer for Jython (http://jython.org/), will demonstrate web systems integration testing with Selenium (http://seleniumhq.org/) and Sauce (http://saucelabs.com/). Selenium is a suite of tools specifically for testing web applications in the browser. Sauce IDE and Remote Client automate Selenium tests "in the cloud" across the ten most popular browsers, providing video of test results. Tests can be recorded from mouse movements and keyboard strokes, or scripted Pythonically. If you develop web applications, you do not want to miss this presentation. As always, lightning talks of ten minutes or less are also welcome. Anything you've learned about Python, no matter how trivial, can be a lightning talk.
